Chapter Seven - Do Unto Others

How many times have you heard this statement or have you said these three words? "DO UNTO OTHERS." What does this statement mean to you? Do you believe in this phrase? Are they just words one can use to feel better about themselves? Only you can answer this question. Answer it as you must, if you believe in its meaning. So much of humanity believes that they must physically do something for their brothers and sisters. Some examples are as follows: If I expect to get help financially, I must be willing to give also. If I am in need of food, I must be willing to give food. If I expect kindness, I must give kindness in return, and the list goes on and on. All of the above are truths. However, they are not the true meaning of the statement "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You." Does this sound like we are talking with a forked tongue? At first it would seem as if we are, but lets' take a moment and really look at another possible meaning.

The key word to the meaning of this statement is the word MOTIVE. What is your motive for attempting to live your life under the guise of Doing Unto Others? We have heard foolish words such as do unto others before they do it to you. Of course this is in a very negative vein, and can only bring self-destruction on the person living under this banner. When you do something for another, do you have a motive behind your act. Do you have the attitude of "What am I going to get out of my generous act?" You must be very careful as this can be hiding in the subconscious and you will find yourself with Karma. How are we to know if our motive is wrong or, if it is a secret in the subconscious? Introspection and Self-Observation is the only way you can dig into your subconscious mind and by so doing, open the door so all your hidden obstructions can be removed. Once this is done, then you can live the true meaning of the phrase "Do Unto Others" by filling the emptiness with LOVE. Love for the herd, Love for your brothers and sisters walking the path with you, Love for the earth, Love for all living things on the earth and for all that is above and below, to the left and to the right. Become Love so that you may then "Do Unto Others" with NO THOUGHT of them doing Unto You. You won't look for anything in return. What a wonderful sense of true freedom comes to your soul when it is filled with Love.

When you reach this point of understanding you will find that what soever you do, will be out of the purest of love, and there never will be a motive behind anything you do. When you do something out of pure love, anything that comes back to you will also be a pure expression of love.

You can only look for some sort of return on the mundane, as this is the law of the herd and you do earn a living by doing the work of the herd. No judgment is meant in this statement. We are only confirming that there are times you must be of the world, but not in the world. However, you on the path must always be alert to the fact that you are working in the world of the herd, but must never treat a member of the herd by their laws. Let us explain. You are working a job that calls for you to do certain things that goes against spiritual law. However in order for you to advance, you must break the spiritual law and function under the law of the herd. It's your choice. In fact you have two choices and only two, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. It's THAT SIMPLE.

For some of you it may not seem as simple as it looks on paper. We would ask you, "Why Not?" Every moment of your earthly life you are making choices. To eat or not to eat, drink or not to drink, sleep or not to sleep, work or not to work, to become spiritual or not to become spiritual. We trust you are starting to get the idea we are trying to convey to you, and that is the fact that you are always working with two choices and only two choices. It isn't like you have a dozen or more choices to choose from. You only have two, no more, no less. When you start to understand the law of love, then you will understand our meaning Take It Or Leave It.

As all of humanity can make a choice based on love or a choice based on non-love. There is no in between. Either UP or DOWN, IN or OUT, LEFT or RIGHT. There is no neutral zone. For in the neutral zone nothing moves, everything becomes stagnant and with stagnation comes decay,and degeneration followed by death.¹ We can not make it any clearer to you. You MUST take all that is unclean from the depths of your soul and cast them into the world, the void of nothingness, the dwelling place of the NO THINGS.

When you live by the law of Love you conduct yourself in accord with the law of choice. You always have control of your life. This is contrary to what most of humanity believes. They believe, for the most part that they are a pawn, they are controlled by the EXPERIENCES that they draw from LIFE. The truth is that you are controlled by Life which gives you the experience. How foolish that you give yourself so little credit. Read this next statement carefully.

NOTHING EVER HAPPENS TO YOU, NO MATTER WHAT. IT HAPPENED BY YOUR CHOICE. No one person, experience or influence can make a choice for you. Try as they may, it is you and you alone that makes the choice to DO UNTO OTHERS OR NOT TO DO UNTO OTHERS.
